Terms of Service

Jobbie (“Jobbie,” “we,” “us”) is a contractor-quoting platform operated from Bermuda. We help customers describe construction or trade work by uploading photos, video, and a short intake; we use AI to generate a draft scope and cost estimate; and we route the request to a vetted contractor who reviews, edits, and sends a final quote.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Bermuda law to use Jobbie. Customers should be located in Bermuda or have property here that they intend to have work done on. Contractors must be lawfully able to offer construction or trade services in Bermuda.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to other users.

When you submit a project, you grant Jobbie and the matched contractor a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to view, store, and process your photos, video, and project details for the purpose of producing a quote and completing the engagement. AI-generated estimates are draft assistance only — final quotes come from a human contractor and may differ. Accepting a quote creates a direct agreement between you and the contractor for the work itself.

Contractor accounts are invite-only and require a paid subscription. By accepting work through Jobbie you confirm that you hold any required licenses, insurance, and permits, and that you will perform the work to a professional standard. Jobbie is the platform of record and does not employ contractors; contractors are independent businesses.

Because Bermuda merchant services are limited, Jobbie processes payments via manual bank transfer to a designated Bermuda bank account.

• Contractor subscriptions. From $150 BMD per month depending on plan tier (Basic $150, Pro $250, Premium $350). Every plan includes one listed trade; each additional trade listed on your company adds $100 BMD per month. Annual prepay is discounted 10% on the full amount (base plus trade add-ons). Paid by transfer with a unique reference; monthly access is granted for 30 days (annual for 365 days) from the date Jobbie confirms receipt. Trades added mid-period are billed from your next renewal.
• Customer deposits.When you accept a quote you transfer a booking deposit to Jobbie (sized between 1% and 6% of the quote total, rising with job size, with a $5 minimum and $2,500 cap). The deposit is credited back in full against your final balance at completion — your total cost is the quoted price. Jobbie’s commission is charged to the contractor, not to you.
• Remainder and commission. Once the contractor marks the job complete and you confirm, you pay the remainder (quote total minus your full deposit) directly to the contractor’s bank accountshown in the app; the contractor confirms receipt to close the job. Jobbie never holds or forwards the remainder. Jobbie’s commission (1%–6% of the job price, capped at $2,500) is the deposit it already holds, and is economically borne by the contractor — your total cost is always exactly the quoted price.
• Refunds. Deposits may be refunded if the contractor cancels before work begins. Contact billing@jobbiebda.com. Disputes about completed work are between you and the contractor, although Jobbie may mediate at its discretion.

Jobbie uses third-party AI services (currently Anthropic’s Claude API) to draft project scopes and estimated pricing. AI outputs may be incomplete or wrong. Contractors are required to review and edit AI drafts before sending you a quote. By using Jobbie you consent to your project content being processed by these AI services for this purpose.

Don’t use Jobbie to upload illegal content, infringe on others’ rights, attempt to access another user’s account, scrape or copy data at scale, or interfere with the platform’s operation. We may remove content or accounts that violate this section.

Jobbie owns the platform, its software, and its branding. You keep ownership of the content you upload, but you grant us the license described in section 4 for the duration of your use of the platform.

Jobbie is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI estimates will match contractor quotes, or that any specific quote you receive will be competitive or correct. We are not party to the agreement between customer and contractor for the work itself.

To the maximum extent permitted by Bermuda law, Jobbie’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the platform is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Jobbie in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) $100 BMD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

You can stop using Jobbie at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or pose a risk to other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including payments, intellectual property, disclaimers, and governing law — will survive.

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we’ll notify you by email and post a notice on the site. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Bermuda. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts of Bermuda.
